Faro Interactive Airport

Faro Airport continues to adapt to its passengers' needs.

Consistent with the Living Airport strategy, which aims to promote communication and interaction with the passengers, Faro Airport opened a new Living Spot, an accessible space where you can relax and access to relevant multimedia information about the airport, travel and destinations.

This area features a modern and cosmopolitan design, ergonomic and comfortable seats, digital panels and an information desk. A special care was devoted to the accessibility issues, in order to allow anyone to fully enjoy this space.

One of its differentiating factors lies in two interactive tables, developed by EDIGMA, including multitouch applications that support passengers. Through multiple touches on the screen, several people can, simultaneously, explore images and videos of travel destinations, know how the weather is in different parts of the world, manipulate brochures, catalogs and magazines, view ANA Aeroportos Facebook posts, browse through some websites, read each country’s most relevant daily news, or simply play with fun multimedia games.

Users of these interactive solutions will thus be able to access useful contents in an innovative and dynamic way, predisposing them to start their journey with a much more positive and peaceful mood.

More than a mere crossing point, Faro Airport will be equipped with a set of services and attractions that are going to turn the passengers’ experience into a pleasure, meeting their needs for information, entertainment or rest.

At the end, this Living Spot intends to replace "passing by" for "being in", making the waiting for the flight a truly pleasant and relaxing time, to be remembered by tourists.
